Issue Position

We need to respect and care for our environment as future generations will inherit it once we are gone. South Florida holds variety of community, vegetation and species in an important ecosystem. The ecosystem here in South Florida is the only subtropical ecological community in the United States and must be protected. I oppose offshore drilling and any action that jeopardizes our fragile ecosystem here in South Florida. I am in favor of green practices, technologies, and energy sources. Green energy sources are not only clean, responsible choices, but are renewable and leave a much smaller carbon footprint. As your representative in Congress, I will work hard to protect our environment here in South Florida and move us forward toward kinder, greener energy sources.
